📆 Live Your Mission: Make It Happen Every Day

Here are some tips to help you align your daily actions with your mission statement.

Make it happen every day! 1) start with a clear understanding of your mission 2) identify actions that support your mission 3) prioritize your time and energy 4) be intentional 5) review and adjust regularly

1️⃣ Start with a clear understanding of your mission:

Read your personal mission statement regularly and make sure you understand what it means to you. Highlight key phrases or words that resonate with you and keep them in mind as you go about your day.

2️⃣ Identify actions that support your mission:

Take some time to think about what actions or behaviors would align with your mission statement.

For example, if your mission is the following:

“I fearlessly explore life, embracing creativity as an outlet for self-expression, and to cherish this precious gift without worrying about perfection.”

Some sample actions or behaviors that align with it include:

Take a challenging task and see how much you can learn from the experience.

Start learning totally new things and embrace the discomfort that comes with the journey.

✅ Take constructive criticism without your ego being crushed. Appreciate the person who took time to give you the feedback, and see how you can improve yourself using their advice.

✅ Take action despite your fear!

3️⃣ Prioritize your time and energy:

Think about how you’re spending your time and energy each day. We only have 24 hours and limited energy each day.

However, we tend to have an unrealistic expectation of what we can accomplish with our limited time and energy. It’s like a project that never finishes within the estimated time and budget!”

Are you spending your limited time and energy on things that really matter to you? If not, consider how you can reprioritize your time and energy to focus on the activities that support your mission.

For instance, if your mission is to be a fearless life experimenter by employing your unique creativity, then stop wasting time and energy creating problems in your imagination and worrying about them. Instead, spend your time and energy on your creative pursuits!

4️⃣ Be intentional:

As you go about your day, be intentional about the actions you take.

Ask yourself, “Does this align with my mission?”

If the answer is no, consider whether it’s something you really need to do or if there’s a better way to spend your time.

5️⃣ Review and adjust regularly:

Your mission and priorities may change over time. It’s important to review your mission statement regularly and make adjustments as needed.

Don’t be afraid to make changes to your mission statement or the actions you take to support it. After all, life is an experiment!

🧗‍♀️Strategies to Overcome Obstacles

Pursuing your purpose can be challenging, and setbacks and changes can sometimes derail you from your mission. Here are some strategies that can help you overcome obstacles.

1️⃣ Stay connected to your purpose:

Make sure to regularly remind yourself of your mission statement and why it’s important to you.

As I suggested in my previous post, keep your mission statement somewhere visible, like on your fridge or your phone’s lock screen as a daily reminder.

Set up regular check-ins with yourself to stay on track. To ensure that you don’t forget these check-ins, add them to your calendar.

2️⃣ Adapt and adjust your mission statement:

Changes and setbacks may require you to adjust your goals or change direction. Stay flexible and open to new opportunities that align with your purpose.

3️⃣ Find support and community:

Find a supportive community of like-minded individuals who can offer guidance, empathy, and encouragement when navigating difficult situations or dealing with changes.

You may also want to seek a coach or a mentor.

4️⃣ Celebrate your successes:

Take time to acknowledge and celebrate your accomplishments, no matter how small they may seem.

Celebrating your successes can help you stay motivated and build momentum towards your goals. It’s also a great way to boost your confidence and self-esteem.

5️⃣ Stay grateful:

Gratitude is an essential aspect of living a purpose-driven life. Take time each day to reflect on the opportunities and experiences that support your purpose.

Make a gratitude list or journal, and focus on the positive things in your life.

These strategies can help you cultivate a positive mindset and stay motivated. Use them as needed to continue living your purpose.
